- The Uwaraye of Benin Empire was Born in 1904 at Evbozegbo Village in Uhunmwode L.G.A of EDO State, Nigeria
- One time Secretary General of Benin East Division of National Council of Nigeria and Cameroon (N.C.N.C.) in Akubbe District Council.
- Chief Uwaraye of Benin was a local advocates for Nigeria independent during British colonial rules
- He was one of those who fought for the creation of the Midwest Region
- He was once a chief at Ebuneki Customary Court in Akugbe District Council
- Chief Iyare served as a District Officer in Ohuan Ward
- Founding father of United Native Authority (U.N.A.) Primary School Evbozegbo in colaboration with the first Africa Church.
- He is credited as the initiator of the construction of Isua, Evbozegbo, Iguolonisi and Iguogbe Road
- Chief Iyare Idahosa was the first store keeper of Bata Shoes
- Until his death, Chief Uwaraye was the Odionwere (oldest) of Evbozegbo Village
